Welcome to the Culinary Arts program. The culinary arts industry is an exciting and constantly changing field. In this program you will learn how to cook in and manage a kitchen professionally. We will cover safety/sanitation practices, hone knife skills and basic to advanced food preparation.


    These skills will be put to the test through real life scenarios – like serving the general public. It is an intense program – much like the industry itself. It has it’s challenges and rewards.  Do not be confused with home economics – this is culinary arts.

    Program Goals
    All Culinary Arts students have the opportunity to:
     : Earn National Skills Certificates, i.e. National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) 
     :Successfully transition into a 1st career job and/or related post-secondary training.
     :Be proficient in their career major and demonstrate proficiency through hands-on performance and
     theoretical testing.
     :PA Skills Certificates.
