Exciting news! LycoTykes Preschool has officially started! Our dedicated Early Childhood student teachers are eager to nurture and inspire the next generation of learners.

Thank you to the Hughesville High School history class for welcoming our LycoCTC students into today's logging demonstration by Lewis Lumber! 🌲 It was a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning and collaboration.

What an amazing turnout for our Adopt-A-Highway cleanup! A huge thank you to all the enthusiastic students who helped make Hughesville cleaner and greener! A special thank you to Ms. McCarty for her leadership and dedication in organizing this.

Our students in Health Careers have created a comprehensive Medical Terminology Word Wall, showcasing key terms in a visually engaging way.

Huge shoutout to our amazing Early Childhood and Construction classes for being the first to complete their OSHA training! To celebrate this fantastic achievement, they enjoyed delicious wings and pizza together!

Today was a big day for our students as they proudly received their new Culinary uniforms! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 These uniforms not only make them look sharp but also inspire confidence in the kitchen.

Our construction students are hard at work on a framing exercise, where every measurement counts! Precision is crucial to building strong foundations.

Level 3 seniors in Health Careers are diving into the essential skills of preparing and wrapping instruments for sterilization in an autoclave. Plus, they’re learning how to properly put on sterile gloves for dressing changes.

Mr. Minium and Ms. Barlett work together on our new Career Catch initiative! Thanks to Ms. Barlett's hard work, Career Catch will ensure that every single senior at Lyco leaves with a solid plan to enter the workforce, enlist in the military, or enroll in college after graduation.

In our Culinary program, students engaged in an innovative blindfold taste testing game. This activity not only challenges their palate but also enhances their ability to describe flavors and textures without visual cues. Such experiential learning fosters creativity and critical thinking skills essential in the culinary industry.

Our talented automotive students have been hard at work creating informative posters about safety in the shop! These posters not only showcase their creativity but also emphasize the importance of safety measures.

Seniors are taking the lead to mentor underclassmen, helping them learn about the equipment and essential skills. This hands-on experience not only builds technical knowledge but also fosters teamwork!

Practice makes perfect! Our Criminal Justice students are mastering radio communications with the NATO Phonetic Alphabet while calling in license plates. 🌟 This crucial skill enhances clarity and professionalism in the field.

Students in our Automotive program are getting hands-on with suspension components! 🛠️💪 The heart of a smooth ride lies in these intricate parts.
