What an incredible day at the Liberty Arena Career Expo! Our Health Career students had the opportunity to explore various career pathways in the healthcare industry, both clinical and non-clinical. They connected with departments like Susquehanna Regional EMS, UPMC Rehabilitation Institute, and more. From learning CPR to reading EKGs and caring for individuals with trach tubes, the skills gained today are invaluable!

The students in Health Careers are learning how to care for a patient with a foley catheter and how to empty the catheter to measure/record urinary output.



What a wonderful day at LycoCTC! Our Youth Development Task Force team read "Octopants" and "Arlo Draws an Octopus" to the LycoTykes preschoolers! A big thank you to Amber Newell, director of community impact at Lycoming County United Way, for partnering with us to provide a copy of "Octopants" for every child.

This experience allowed them to explore various career opportunities within the field, enhanced by insightful presentations from the staff. Additionally, they toured the Lewseum, which has recently been transformed to showcase an impressive array of memorabilia reflecting 92 years of "Big House" operations

Ms. McCarty, Mr. Brown, Mr. Minium, and our dedicated students showcased the vital role of career and technical education in preparing the workforce of tomorrow.
